My Friends in the Automotive Industry,
With everything going on in the world right now, there is a lot to be concerned about. Later on, I’ll have some thoughts to share with you on the future of our industry, but right now, the most important thing we can all do is take care of ourselves, our families and each other. I hope all of you, your families, and your friends are safe and healthy.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will all also be thinking about our businesses, our future, our employees, our partners and co-workers, and contemplating what the world is going to look like when we come out the other side of this.
As a 30+ year veteran of the car industry, I have seen my share of ups-and-downs, and dramatic shifts in the industry. What we are facing might be one of the greatest periods of change we have ever seen. With some planning and care, we can all navigate this and come out poised for success.
Over the upcoming weeks, I’ll share some thoughts on how dealerships can navigate these tumultuous times. The future and salvation of your dealerships is in fixed operations.
My next message will focus on change management, and how to help your people through uncertainty with compassion and integrity. People are scared for their jobs, and the future, and coaching them through this uncertainty will build a more successful team designed to handle tough times and excel.
Please comment below so we can share our thoughts.
For now, bless you and your families, and please stay in touch.
