15 Service Marketing Mistakes and Misconceptions

Service managers tell us all the time about marketing in their service departments and the hurdles and frustrations they experience on a daily basis. Below are just some of the mistakes service managers make and the misconceptions they have when it comes to service department marketing.

  1. The service department brings in the most revenue from the dealership, so why isn’t service marketing at the forefront of marketing spending?
  2. Not sending triggered and scheduled email campaigns is ‘no big deal.” Wrong! We’ll discuss how the service department misses out and loses profits when they don’t keep in communication with their customers.
  3. Service managers aren’t graphic designers, so why do they have to design and create marketing material? We’ll show you the role graphic design plays into your brand and reputation.
